Chase Gardens is a garden design and landscape studio based in South East London. We combine refined landscape architecture, ecological planting, and hands-on horticulture to create layered, naturalistic spaces that connect people to nature and the wider landscape.

From private residential gardens to high-profile public show gardens including our debut at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in partnership with YoungMinds – we craft environments that foster connection, support mental wellbeing, and enrich local biodiversity.

Founded in South East London by plantsman and designer Charlie Chase, the studio puts the craft of gardening at the center of every project. We treat gardens as living, evolving ecosystems – built on sound horticultural practice, climate-resilient planting, and sustainable, locally sourced materials.

Outreach

One of our missions is Activating Young Gardeners. We wanted to create a full education for a gardener within YoungMinds garden. Crucially we want to open those opportunities to people who might otherwise miss out.

For our YoungMinds Chelsea garden, we worked with young people from a range of backgrounds and faiths, paying them to take part in the build. Through design workshops, they also helped shape the garden’s next chapter, with their ideas informing its relocation.

Listening, sharing practical skills and making space for other people’s ideas are central to this work.
